Department of Fair Work Ombudsman offer a multitude of free online courses for employees, managers and employers such as the ones listed below.

Standard 2: Health & Personal Care

I. Medication Management

This is a College of Nursing endorsed course that is designed to explore the various causes of medication errors and equip you with the knowledge and skills to help prevent errors from occurring in your workplace. It focusses on the things we can do as individuals to increase safety for our patients.

II. Dementia Management

III. Palliative Care

Helping health professionals and others providing palliative care to aged persons in the community to improve the quality of their practice. This project is funded by the Department of Health and is developed jointly between AHHA and Silver Chain Training, with input from industry and other specialists.

This free online training is designed for the Australian health context, and is available to participants by simply registering and completing the following User Enrolment Survey after logging in.

The IDF online interactive modules are aimed to ensure the best possible education in a flexible, self-paced environment that makes use of the latest learning technologies available to health professionals wherever they are in the world, so that they are equipped to provide optimal management for the estimated 415 million people living with diabetes.

Each online module should take you around 60 minutes to complete. Access to the modules is free of charge and an official IDF certificate of completion is available for purchase to all learners who complete a module and pass the post-course assessment with a score of at least 80%.

This is a free online training from Beyond Blue to learn more about Anxiety and depression. It is an Australian College of Nursing endorsed course and covers the following topics:
